In English, people have an “accent” when speaking. In Spanish, people have an accent when speaking and also use “accents” (acentos or tildes) that indicate where to put the stress of a word. On the image below, the English speaker likes both: the accent of the Spanish speaker and the “tilde” above the letter “a” in her name.
